ABOUT CRAIG:

Craig Norberg has worked in the custom tile, stone and plumbing industries for over 26 years. Upon receiving his degree in Art History, at Colorado College, Craig enrolled and completed a certification from the Design Discovery program at Harvard. After his certification was complete Craig traveled the world, extensively, researching tile artists, their processes and use of materials. During 1992 Craig headed to Via Reggio, Italy to research the treatment of terracotta – the old world way; learning from one of only two artisans, who understand the historical regimens and processes for handling terra cotta.

A desire to bring back historical surfaces, first took Craig through fabrication and installation in Seattle, to four years of tile sales in New York. It was in New York where Craig searched out and helped promote a modern renaissance of hard surfaces. Craig brought back his finds in 1997 and opened the first Norberry Tile in Pioneer Square. Shortly thereafter, Craig enrolled in and completed a University of Washington business certification to enhance his work in the tile industry. Later, as the need for eco architectural materials increased Norberg obtained a certification as a Sustainable Building Advisor.

Norberry Tile and Fixture, located in Seattle since 1997, is now in its 3rd chapter. The location is easy for Seattle customers and the tile lines are the most refined to date.
